What does the SAC do and how can the SAC help?
- Individual and group problem-solving, coping skill building, de-escalation, distress tolerance
- Substance abuse prevention and education programs
- Consults with parents, staff and students
- Links students and their families to community resources
- Promotes health and wellness activities
- Coordinates awareness speakers and assemblies

- Risky Behaviors

By Law, SAC services are confidential as per 42 CFR (NJ.S 18A:40A)

The only exceptions are report of: Danger to Self, Danger to Others, Abuse or Neglect, Court or other Legal Proceedings, Drug Distribution

How to Refer a Student:
- If my door is open, students are always welcome.
- Self-referral or Peer referrals are encouraged.
- Parents/Guardians, Teachers, Administrators, and Community Members may call or email me to refer a student.
- Students can stop by to make an appointment (preferably during a non-academic class).
- Meeting with the SAC is voluntary unless a student violates a school policy, in which it may become mandatory.
