Mrs. Shannon Downey

Welcome to ESL! My name is Shannon Downey, and I am the 5th grade ESL teacher at JT 5-6 School. This is my 15th year teaching and my 3rd year with the Jackson School District.

I am a graduate of Rowan University and hold my Elementary Certification and an English as a Second Language Certification. I am married with two children; a seven-year-old daughter and a three-year-old daughter. During my free time I enjoy going to the beach, camping and taking adventures with my family. 

  I am excited about being part of the JT 5-6 School family and I look forward to meeting everyone this year.
